ADDICTION TREATMENT

The Healing Circle Recovery philosophy embraces the strength of culture, identity and spirituality as primary components to recovery for Native Peoples. Focusing on a holistic approach to addiction treatment and recovery, Healing Circle Recovery relies on traditional Native cultural knowledge and teachings, blended with clinical behavioral health approaches to nurture and strengthen the mind, body and spirit—which is where the healing journey begins.

It is estimated that there are 5.6 million* Native Americans living in the United States, comprising 1.7% of the total population. While Native Americans account for only a small part of the U.S. population, they experience disproportionately higher rates of poverty, substance abuse, mental and other health issues compared to other racial and ethnic groups.

At Healing Circle Recovery, clients can expect to receive compassionate, respectful support. Our wrap-around approach to healing includes the best possible care from our team of clinicians and behavioral health professionals. From our licensed psychologists, therapists and counselors to our behavioral health technicians, facilitators and case managers, our staff goes the extra mile to provide a safe, secure and healthy experience to help you on your journey of healing and wellness.

Our structured addiction treatment program provides inspiring and engaging group therapy sessions, individual counseling/therapy and supportive case management.

Alcohol Addiction Treatment
In modern mainstream American culture, alcohol is glorified and normalized. Many individuals inadvertently drink to self-medicate. Issues such as depression and anxiety are at the root of alcohol use. If you’re concerned about how much or how often you are consuming alcohol, it may be an indicator of an impending problem.

Cocaine Addiction Treatment
Cocaine is a highly addictive drug. What starts out as "casual” or “social” use can quickly evolve into addiction. Even "social" cocaine use (every now and then with friends) can elevate your stress hormones, increase your risk of heart attack and stroke and alter your brain’s natural circuitry.

Marijuana Addiction Treatment
While regular marijuana usage isn’t always viewed as an addiction, any substance we regularly put into our bodies can have a profound impact on us mentally, physically and spiritually. Chronic or heavy marijuana use can sap your energy and hinder your motivation for life. The marijuana "crutch" can become a barrier to achieving your goals and dreams.

Opiate, Heroin and Fentanyl Addiction Treatment
Heroin is an extremely physically addictive drug. Its severe withdrawal symptoms can be dangerous to undertake on your own. If you want to stop using heroin, it’s a good idea to get help from a professional addiction treatment facility. A holistic therapy center like Healing Circle can help treat the underlying causes of your addiction, so you can heal fully.

Prescription Drug Addiction Treatment
Prescription drug abuse is rampant in the U.S., due largely in part to big pharmaceutical corporations' profit-driven business models, as well as over-prescribing of painkillers and anti-anxiety medications by doctors with little training in addiction science. While used legally, these drugs are extremely powerful and habit-forming — and stopping their use often requires professional help. Prescription drug addiction treatment at Healing Circle Recovery includes a medication review by an on-staff Ph.D. psychiatrist who can help you get your life back within your control.

Methamphetamine Addiction Treatment
Meth addiction can be life-consuming: the days of sleeplessness, not eating and paranoia are often described as "slow death." Meth use can also make you spiritually vulnerable to negative energies or dark spirits, which in itself can be very confusing and disorienting. This is an aspect that most conventional addiction treatment doesn’t address. Our non-12 Step addiction treatment program at Healing Circle includes addressing the spiritual side of drug use and addiction. Healing Circle Recovery's methodology includes traditional practitioners who are experienced in dealing with spiritual phenomenon. Full recovery from meth addiction requires healing from all of its causes and effects.

Other Drug Addictions
Other addictions we treat at Healing Circle Recovery include but aren’t limited to:

Benzodiazepines
Stimulants
Smart drugs
Inhalants
Sedatives
Over-the-counter medications
Bath salts
Synthetic cannabinoids
Kratom

Unfortunately, many Native Americans have limited access to substance abuse services due to barriers with transportation, lack of health insurance, poverty and a shortage of addiction treatment options in their communities. This is why we work tirelessly to meet all of the individual's needs to begin the healing journey. We understand the challenges individuals face when it seems they have no where to turn.

Our addiction treatment program is culturally relevent and designed to treat the four aspects of self: physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual. We understand the importance of culture and tradition for Native Peoples. That's why our Family Circles curriculum is developed by Native People and tribally certified.

Research has shown that cultural identity and spirituality are important are to Native Americans when seeking help for substance abuse. Both empirical and anecdotal evidence has emerged that individuals experience better outcomes when traditional healing, cultural-based approaches (such as pow-wows, traditional singing, talking circles, sweat lodges and other ceremonies) are incorporated into treatment programs. We understand the nuances and diversity in Native culture, and take both a broad and individualized approach that respects all tribal ways-of-being.
